How are concrete floors made? With the help of formwork («beam formwork«). This is a kind of frame into which concrete is poured. Often it is additionally reinforced to get a reinforced concrete slab.

The ceilings are at a certain height from the floor of the previous floor. In the case of formwork, this height depends on the length and strength of the posts supporting the slabs. And this height can reach 40 meters. Enough for almost everything.
