The Audi Sport Quattro is a legendary car, produced in a limited edition of only 224 units. It was put into production back in 1985. The brutal car is still known as the most powerful rally car ever to compete in an international competition — 600 hp. (441 kW). Nevertheless, the manufacturer officially announced the power of the 2.1 liter five-cylinder turbocharged engine — 480 hp. (350 kW). The turbocharger’s air recirculation assistance system rotates the turbocharger at high revs when the driver is not applying gas, allowing the engine to resume full power as soon as the throttle is opened. It was a very good move because it reduced the turbo lag and increased the engine power to 507 hp. (373 kW) at 8000RPM.
