When there is no doubt about the ideal quality of the markings made, you can proceed directly to the process of attaching the guide profile for drywall. It is mounted to the very base with ordinary dowels (which are designed for «stone» different materials) or self-tapping screws (which are used for any wooden surfaces) and place them at a distance of 500 mm. Before installing the profile, it is imperative to glue a special sealing tape on the side of the metal profile directly adjacent to the base — this will give the entire structure sufficient stability. A quarter of the entire plasterboard partition, in fact, will already be assembled on its own.
The next step is the installation of a special rack-mount profile. Using the scissors used when working on metal, we carefully cut off pieces of the required length from it. Be sure to take into account that the most optimal length of any rack profile for drywall corresponds to the height of the entire room, minus 10 mm. This distance should be enough for fastening without any possible problems of the entire post profile directly to the guide profile. There should be strips of the used rack profile with a certain pitch, which is no more than 600 mm — these are the minimum requirements to ensure excellent rigidity of the entire frame. It is fastened to the guide profile itself thanks to the use of self-tapping screws for metal, and the fastening occurs necessarily on both sides. As a result of these simple actions, the main frame, designed to create a modern partition, is already assembled from drywall. If you want to make an additional drywall niche in the wall, you need to think it over in advance, even at the initial stage of creating the future layout of the room. After the complete manufacture of the frame itself for the plasterboard partition, you can proceed directly to the installation of the sheets of ordinary drywall themselves on the prepared frame. Since the drywall sheets are quite heavy, you will need help to install them, one can hardly install the drywall sheets on the frame with high quality and accuracy..
