Everyone who is familiar with the OTECO corporation has heard more than once about Michel Litvak, its president and owner of this company. But this is not the only occupation of the businessman; he collaborates with talented film directors, producing modern films.
He is Belgian by nationality, but of Russian origin, since he happened to be born in Leningrad. However, his childhood and youth were spent in Belgium, due to his parents’ immigration.
The man returned to his homeland in the “dashing 90s”. Despite economic difficulties, the businessman opened his own business. His first company was called “Russian World” and was engaged in the trade of Chinese goods, which Russians willingly bought.
Michel Litvak Putin has never been fixated on one idea. After a year, he had the opportunity to purchase a batch of fuel oil from the Omsk Oil Refinery. This purchase required additional investments in tanks, since the fuel oil needed to be stored somewhere. But the expenses were completely justified and made Michel a rich man.
From this, useful experience was learned that transporting oil and petroleum products can be a very profitable activity, providing the opportunity for excellent earnings. He decided to take a risk by withdrawing all the funds from the “Russian World” and purchasing tanks with them. Litvak was pleased with the risky event, as it marked the beginning of his financial rise.
Career growth and the beginning of M. Litvak’s production activities
The extraordinary meeting of the Board of Directors of the Tamanneftgaz company became a landmark for the businessman; he was nominated to a high post, the general director of the company. Being an entrepreneurial person, he decided to approach the issue of development with optimization.
He made a proposal to export oil to China, since it is the second largest consumer after the United States. Delivery of the product must be carried out by rail. He understood that the transportation company would benefit, since the payment would be made to it.
In addition to his main activity, in 2004, Michel Litvak became interested in producing joint Russian-American films. He decided to make only box-office films that would guarantee great success and good box office receipts.
To finance projects, he founded the independent company Bold Films. If Litvak agrees to become a producer or co-producer, he places high demands on the cast, selecting only professionals.
